The founder of Nilfisk-Advance, P.A. Fisker, started out as an electrical engineer who really liked to work on electrical motors. After founding his business during the year 1906, he began to produce motors to drive coffee grinders, fans, machine tools and drills. Mr. Fisker's vision from the start was to have a global business selling goods internationally.

The Nilfisk C1 was an incredible breakthrough for the cleaning trade. This ground breaking vacuum cleaner, invented by Mr. Fisker, weighed only 17.5 kilos and can be operated by a single individual. This invention came in a time where numerous cleaning machines were very big and needed 4 or more operators, thus, the Nilfisk C1 transformed everything and evolved the way we clean forever. The brain behind these very first cleaning equipment remains unparalleled. Cleaning machines provide a brilliant solution to an ongoing dilemma; things get dirty and must be cleaned regularly, without too much effort.
